Frequently Asked Questions
Do you help with planning and permitting?
Yes. We assist homeowners during the early planning stages and help guide the permitting process. Construction projects in mountain counties often involve zoning, septic, utilities, and inspections, and our role is to help coordinate these steps so the project can move forward smoothly.
Can you build on raw land?
Yes. Many of our projects begin with undeveloped property. We help evaluate access, utilities, site preparation needs, and construction options before building begins so owners understand what is required and can avoid costly surprises later.
Do you only build custom homes?
No. While we build ground-up custom homes, we also complete remodels, additions, modular home installations, park model (tiny home) setups, and low-rise multi-family projects up to three stories.
What is the difference between a modular home and a stick-built home?
A modular home is built in sections at a factory and delivered to the site, while a stick-built home is constructed entirely on the property. Both require foundations, utilities, permits, and final completion work on site. We coordinate these on-site phases and manage the installation process.
Are park models and tiny homes move-in ready when delivered?
Usually not. Park model and tiny homes still require site preparation, utility connections, and inspections before occupancy. We coordinate foundations, hookups, and final completion to make the structure ready for use.
Do you handle multi-family or investment projects?
Yes. Our Class B General Contractor license allows us to oversee low-rise residential construction up to three stories, including duplexes, triplexes, and townhome-style buildings. We work with property owners and small developers to manage scheduling, trades, and inspections.
Can you remodel a home while we are living in it?
In many cases, yes. We plan projects in phases and communicate upcoming work so homeowners understand what to expect. Our goal is to keep the home as livable as possible during construction.
Who schedules the subcontractors?
We do. We coordinate trades, scheduling, and inspections so homeowners are not responsible for managing multiple contractors.

Do you provide drywall and painting without a full remodel?
Yes. We complete drywall installation, repair, texture matching, and interior painting for both new construction and existing homes, even if it is not part of a larger project.
How long does a custom home take to build?
Timelines vary based on size, weather, permitting, and site conditions. In mountain areas, construction often takes longer than city builds due to inspections, access, and seasonal weather. We discuss realistic timelines during the planning phase so expectations are clear before construction begins.
Can you help us decide what type of build is right for our property?
Yes. Many clients begin unsure whether a custom home, modular home, or park model is the best option. We review site conditions, access, utilities, and goals to help determine the most practical approach.
Do you offer estimates?
We provide consultations and preliminary project discussions to understand your goals and scope. Detailed pricing is developed after reviewing plans, site conditions, and project details so the estimate reflects the actual work required.
